NEGATIVE ELECTRODE FOR NON-AQUEOUS ELECTROLYTE SECONDARY BATTERY AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery with little damage on a negative electrode film which is suitable as a negative electrode for a lithium ion secondary battery with high capacity maintenance rate and to provide its manufacturing method.

SOLUTION: The negative electrode for the non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery includes negative electrode material containing 0.2 to 30 wt.% of a fibrous polymeric substance to a negative electrode active substance containing silicon which can store/discharge lithium ion. The particle size distribution of the negative electrode substance containing silicon has D50within a range of 0.1 to 30 μm when particle diameter corresponding to accumulated 50 wt.% from the microparticle side according to a laser diffraction dispersion method particle size measuring method is D50and fiber length in the fibrous polymeric substance has particle diameter of D50or more in the negative electrode active substance containing silicon.
