The ship has a hull tunnel (3) in the stern region of the hull, and a drive propeller in the region of the tunnel. The tunnel has an asymmetrical cross section relative to the envisaged main flow direction. The tunnel may be open on one side and may widen towards the propeller and/or rise towards the top boundary of the tunnel, which may pass over the center line of the ship. The tunnel may be funnel-shaped, at least in some regions.
