PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means capable of surely repairing a recessed defect part like a through hole caused at a weld end in friction diffusion welding wink a simple operation, and drastically improving strength and appearance. SOLUTION: After a filler metal 4 consiting of the material almost similar to a metal 1 to be welded is charged into a through hole, by using a friction diffusion welding tool 5 whose heat tip diameter is larger than the diameter of the through hole 3 and subjecting a surface layer part 10 of the metal 1 of the region including the through hole 3 to friction diffusion welding, the upper part of the filler metal 4 is integrated to the metal 1.
