PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lower the unevenness of combustion by computing an ion current correction coefficient per each cylinder at the time of a medium load, and correcting the ion current per each cylinder detected at the time of a low load on the basis of an ion current correction coefficient, and computing the injection quantity correction coefficient per each cylinder on the basis of a difference between the ion current per each cylinder after the correction. SOLUTION: Ion output is detected, and a cylinder number J for combustion this time is discriminated, and the mean value of the past predetermined number of the ion output of the J-th cylinder is obtained, and an ion mean value of the whole cylinders as a reference value is obtained (S202-S208). A determination whether a load is low or not is done (S210), and in the case of NO, a determination whether the load is medium or not is done (S212), and in the case of YES, an ion current correction coefficient for correcting a difference of the ion current due to a difference of an ignition plug of the J-th cylinder is computed (S214). In the case of a low load, an ion output mean value of the J-th cylinder is corrected on the basis of the ion current correction coefficient (S216), and a difference between the ion output mean value of the whole cylinders and the ion output mean value of the J-th cylinder after the correction is obtained (S218), and an injection quantity correction coefficient corresponding to the difference is obtained (S220).
