PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively provide a magnetic head which does not deteriorate in reproduction characteristics even abrasion advances and has long life by reducing partial abrasion of the magnetic head. SOLUTION: The magnetic head 1 comprises head elements 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 and spacers 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, and 13. The head elements are formed of magnetic bodies and the spacers are also formed of the same material with the head elements. Then a thin layer of a nonmagnetic body is provided between the head elements and spacers. Then the head elements and spacers of the magnetic head have nearly the same abrasion characteristics. As the head elements and spacers wear equally, the life of the magnetic head is prolonged eventually.
