PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a calculating device capable of displaying graphs of a function by only making a user register the expression of the function whose dependent variables are functions. SOLUTION: A CPU 2 registers the expression of the function inputted by the user and the expression of the dependent variables of the function corresponding to a registration processing program and then analyzes the expressions of the dependent variables of the function corresponding to an expression analysis processing program. Then, the CPU 2 checks whether the dependent variables of the function are the functions or simple variables, and in the case of discriminating that they are the functions, substitutes the dependent variable of the function with the functional expressions of the dependent variables. Thereafter, the CPU 2 analyzes the function corresponding to a graph processing program, calculates the various kinds of data required for graphing it and graphs and displays the function at a display part 3 based on the data.
