An IPTV service server system for managing a specialized local area and a local broadcasting method using the same are provided to assemble local customers easily by reflecting local requests on broadcasts, and to increase revenue by providing value added services matched with local features. An IPTV service server system includes a central server system(110) and local area server systems(120). The central server system includes a central broadcasting server(116) which streams central EPG(Electronic Program Guide) data(112) and broadcast contents in accordance with the central EPG data. The local area server systems, located at local areas, includes local area broadcasting servers which broadcast local EPG data(122), which is resulted from edition and reconfiguration of the central EPG data according to local area features, and local broadcast contents in accordance with the local EPG data to local subscribers(130). The local area server systems receive the central EPG data, and contents and advertisement files provided via the central EPG data from the central server system. The local area server systems reedit or reconfigure the EPG information, or insert local broadcast contents into a specific time band for replacing the advertisement files or contents, received from the central server system, with the local broadcast contents. |
