The espagnolette bolt comprises a casing (2,7,8,7A) which extends to the rear of a faceplate and encloses a control mechanism able to act on a locking part which projects in the locked position. It comprises an oversized opening for the passage of the locking part. The opening receives an insert (12) able to adjust opening dimensions according to the dimension and/or travel of the locking part.
