PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive device for removing a surface scar which can be automated, by using an inexpensive spark discharge equipment and a compact pulse laser. SOLUTION: The device for melting and removing the surface scar, by impressing an arc discharge on the scar in conjunction with a surface scar examination equipment, is equipped with a discharge guide laser which points to the scar part before the arc discharge, focusing and irradiating a laser beam thereon to correctly guide the path of the arc discharge to the scar. Preferably, the guide laser is transmitted by an optical fiber and the guide laser is a pulse laser. |
