A mill comprising a grinding set 2' supported by a support table 4' which itself has at least one of supporting parts 8', 10', 12 ' on its underside. A hub member 6' is also shown. The supporting part(s) may overlay only a portion of the underside of the support table and may be of bar or circular profiles. Arrangements whereby the supporting parts are welded to the underside of the plate are disclosed as are arrangements comprising an array of inner/outer annular bodies having radial bars there between. Methods of improving an existing support table of a mill and a method of grinding a piece of material in to a powder by using a relevant mill are also disclosed. |
