PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a sharp triangular metallic piece from remaining on a guardrail, even if an automobile collides. SOLUTION: This cover for the guardrail is installed from the roadway side in a connecting part 1100 of an existing guardrail plate 200, and covers and hides a step height part 1110 of the connecting part 1100 of the existing guardrail plate 200, and has a body part 110A composed of a flexible raw material and fitted in a recessed pulsing part 230 and two wing parts 120A extended from this body part 110A and covering the step height part 1110 of projecting pulsing parts 210 and 220. A two-stage through-hole 130A for penetrating a leg part of a bolt 510 for connecting the guardrail plate 200 and fitted with a head part 511 of the bolt 510, is opened in the body part 110A.
