PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for mitigating anxiety that feels before undergoing medical practices including inspections, diagnoses and operations by a safe measure with slight side effects. SOLUTION: The means for mitigating the anxiety in a patient comprises administering the patient withβ-caryophyllene. A composition for use in the above means is also provided.
