PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a massage cosmetic which gives massage effects, namely improves blood circulation, recovers the fatigue of muscles, relaxes spirits, can thereby improve or prevent the roughness, drabness, the formation of wrinkles and the decline of elasticity, and can efficiently massage. SOLUTION: More excellent massage effects than by conventional techniques are obtained by utilizing a normal stress effect for a massage method. The skin massage cosmetic used herein is characterized in that a liquid composition comprising water and a polymer having stringiness has a characteristic property that the liquid level of the liquid composition at a place close to a stirring rod is raised by 1 cm or more than that when not rotated, when the rod having a diameter of 10 mm is put in a depth of 3 cm in 300 mL of the liquid composition in a 500 mL beaker, and stirred at 1,500 rpm.
