PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for inexpensively manufacturing a container made from stainless steel, which greatly reduces the discoloration and quality deterioration of a liquid product such as a drink filled in the container, by effectively strengthening a passive film on the inner surface of the container to greatly reduce the elution of an iron component into the content. SOLUTION: This manufacturing method comprises: a mixed-acid treatment step 104 of contacting the inner surface of the container made from the stainless steel with an aqueous mixture solution of nitric acid and hydrofluoric acid; an organic-acid treatment step 106 of contacting an aqueous organic acid solution with the inner surface of the container after the mixed-acid treatment step and before the inner surface of the container dries; a post-cleaning step 107 of cleaning the inner surface of the container after the organic-acid treatment step; and a step 108 of drying the inner surface of the container after the post-cleaning step.
