PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste liquid storing container which keeps absorbing efficiency of a waste liquid absorbing quantity favorable to the volume of the container, facilitates manufacture, and enables a stable storage of waste liquid over a long period of time. SOLUTION: In the waste liquid storing container 1, the inside of a container body 2 is divided into a plurality of segments 4 by being partitioned by a plurality of ribs 3 as partitioning walls, waste liquid absorbing materials 5 comprising water superabsorbent polymer (or oil superabsorbent polymer) are arranged in respective segments 4, communication parts 6 formed by cutout parts 6a connecting adjacent segments 4 are arranged in the ribs 3, the waste liquid flows in to adjacent segment 4 via the communication part 6 and is absorbed by the waste liquid absorbing material 5 in the segment where the waste liquid flows in when the waste liquid charged into one segment 4 is absorbed by the waste liquid absorbing material 5 of the segment 4 and the waste liquid absorbing material 5 swells to reach its maximum volume and the above mentioned is repeated.
