PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To print the authentication result of an electronic mail regardless of electronic mail setting at a transmission side and print setting at a reception side. SOLUTION: Internet facsimile equipment 100 comprises: the transmitter and receiver 102 of an electronic mail; a decoder/verifier 106 for verifying the encryption state of an electronic mail; a setting storage 116 for storing the setting of a format for printing a result verified by the decoder/verifier 106; a print data generator 110 for generating a message for indicating a result verified by the decoder/verifier 106; and a control unit 104 for determining whether setting for printing the text of an electronic mail is made, and for allowing a print data generator 110 to generate a message by giving a higher priority to second setting of a format for printing the verified result apart from the text of the electronic mail, as compared with first setting of a format for printing the verified result including in one portion of the text of the electronic mail when setting for preventing the text from being printed is made.
