PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a comparatively wide space at a center part and to miniaturize a device and equipment to be mounted in a sliding mechanism so constituted that a plate on the sliding side slides on a plate on the base side. SOLUTION: The sliding mechanism has: the plate 31 on the base side; the plate 32 on the sliding side which slides on the plate 31 on the base side; wire 33, 34 whose both ends are fixed to a pair of wire attachment pins 54A, 54B, 55A, 55B separately disposed on the plate 32 on the sliding side and which is comprised of a spring material arranged so that crooked parts 133A, 134A crookedly formed in the shape of a mountain are projected outward between both edges are projected and rollers 52, 53 which are arranged on the plate 32 on the sliding side, engaged into the wire 33, 34, performs deformation energization of the wire 33, 34 in accordance with sliding of the plate 32 on the sliding side or to which elastic force is applied from the deformed wire 33, 34.
