A flag 3 may be made from a perforated air permeable non water absorbent plastic mesh material 9. The material may form sleeves at either end into which tubular or rod like means 2 and 5 may be inserted. Item 5 may be attached via a ferrule 6 to a shaft 7 and handle grip 8. The ferrule may act to allow the flag to rotate about the shaft and handle and the ferrule may be adjusted up and down the shaft to accommodate different flag sizes. The purpose of rods 2 and 5 is to stiffen the face of the flag allowing it to remain unfurled in windy conditions. The flag may be used in motorsports where the fully deployed face is advantageous in allowing drivers to see the nature of the flag that is being deployed. |
