PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce impact to be applied to an image-transferred recording material when the recording material enters post-transfer guide means to be guided, thereby preventing a transfer failure from occurring on the recording material.SOLUTION: An image forming device includes: post-transfer guide means 3 that guides a recording material 6 on which an image has been transferred by transfer means 2, to a predetermined portion; and a position sensor 4 that detects a position of the recording material 6. The post-transfer guide means 3 includes: a guide member 10 that guides the image-transferred recording material 6; a variable mechanism 11 that changes a position or a speed of the guide member 10; and a control apparatus 12 that recognizes a moving position of the recording material 6 on the basis of information on the recording material 6 detected by the position sensor 4 and changes the attitude and speed of the guide member 10 when the image-transferred recording material 6 enters in contact with the guide member 10, to reduce a reaction force to be applied in a surface direction of the recording material 6 with respect to the guide member 10, and to restore the original attitude and speed of the guide member 10 after the recording material 6 enters in contact with the guide member 10. |
