PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation apparatus capable of properly selecting and displaying a marker building structure among many building structures in highlighting manner.SOLUTION: When a specific point Q1 on a map is specified, the navigation apparatus extracts a piece of data of an extracted building structure as the data of a building structure B included in an extraction range, in which the specific point Q1 is previously defined as a reference, from a piece of map data. When plural pieces of data of the extracted building structure are extracted, at least one building structure B of which the average value relevant to the selection index is different from an average value of other building structures B by a selection threshold value or more is selected as a marker building structure LM. A three-dimensional map image which includes at least a road image and a building structure image is displayed on a display screen in a highlighting mode, in which the selected marker building structure LM has the visibility higher than that of other general building structures GB.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
