Disclosed in the embodiments of the present invention are an airplane-mode control method and a mobile terminal, said method comprising: in non-airplane mode, activating the camera of the mobile terminal so as to obtain a picture of the surroundings of the mobile terminal; matching the picture of the surroundings of the mobile terminal with a preset picture of the interior environment of the aircraft cabin in order to determine whether the mobile terminal is located inside the aircraft cabin; if the mobile terminal is determined to be inside the aircraft cabin, then switching the operating mode of the mobile terminal to airplane mode. Using the method of the present invention, it is possible to promptly and automatically activate airplane mode when a mobile terminal is on an aircraft. |
