An electronic data protection method and device, terminal device and storage medium. The method comprises the steps of: when an encryption instruction is received, executing an encryption process (S301); in the encryption process, respectively transmitting an information acquisition instruction to data protection key hardware devices, wherein the information acquisition instruction comprises a device identifier acquisition instruction and a fingerprint information acquisition instruction, and respectively receiving information returned by the data protection key hardware devices according to the information acquisition instruction, wherein the information respectively comprises a device identifier and user fingerprint information (S302); and encrypting, according to the information returned by the data protection key hardware device, an object to be encrypted to obtain an encrypted object (S303). The above method adopts a method of combining software and hardware to encrypt a file, and the encryption is performed based on the information provided by the data protection key hardware device when the file is encrypted. With respect to a method of a pure software encryption, the encryption is not limited to the data protection key hardware device, thus effectively expanding electronic data storage space. |
