PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound output device that is more easily usable.MEANS FOR SOLVING THE PROBLEM: A sound output device for listening to an airway tone traveling via cartilage conduction which occurs in an external auditory canal from a cartilage external auditory canal surface by bringing the surface of an external wall into contact with at least a part of an ear cartilage around an entrance of an external auditory canal is provided with a vibration source driving equalizer that considers frequency characteristics peculiar to cartilage conduction. Different equalization is performed between a case where the ear canal is in a closed state and a case where the ears canal is in an open state. A low-pass filter considering the frequency characteristics peculiar to cartilage conduction is provided to cut the frequencies of 2.5 kHz or more for a mobile phone and the frequencies of 10 kHz or more for an audio device.
