PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide compositions containing as an active ingredient a magnesium compound used together for the excellent prevention or treatment of platinum-containing chemistry formulation-attributed renal dysfunction.SOLUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating renal dysfunction initiated by a platinum-containing chemistry formulation is disclosed. The pharmaceutical composition can alleviate platinum compound-attributed renal dysfunction by using together with a composition containing a magnesium compound as an active ingredient, and release a patient from disadvantages, such as a temporal restrict of a platinum compound-excretion therapy and renal failure, resulting in reduce the burden of the patient.SELECTED DRAWING: None
