PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a drive part of a stitch correction member, thereby achieving the simplified driving of the stitch correction member.SOLUTION: A sewing machine includes stitch formation tools for making a seam in a material to be sewn, a part of which is a needle bar. In order to drive the needle bar, an arm shaft (9) is used for driving the needle bar. A stitch correction member (10) is used for loosening the seam during sewing. The stitch correction member (10) is driven by a stitch correction drive part (11), so that the stitch correction member (10) is reciprocated in a right-and-left direction with respect to a sewing direction during sewing.
