摘要 PURPOSE:To increase the number of tracking targets, by calculating a sampling period for a target on the basis of a detection level value of a target signal and a target preestimation error signal and by controlling the number of the tracking targets on the basis of the result of calculation. CONSTITUTION:A level value S of a signal used for target detection is inputted as an output of a signal processing unit 3 to detector 8. The detector 8 sets a determination level S1 for determining the propriety of S. When S>=S1, said signal is regarded as a signal of excellent S/N, and a detection signal A is outputted, while an inversion A is outputted when S<S1. Target preestimated position error signals DELTAX, DELTAY and DELTAZ are found in a calculation circuit 10. For a measurement level value B, an error determination signal D is set in time series in N times with the same code when DELTAX(n)>=B or DELTAX(n)<-B, while an inversion D is set in the same way as the above when DELTAX(n)<B or DELTAX(n)>-B. The signals A, D and the inverse thereof are inputted to a control circuit 9 and a control signal for controlling the cycle of a sampler 6 is generated therefrom. Thereby an output of a target assuming unit 7 is kept to be normal, and the number of tracking targets is increased.
