PURPOSE:To make a connecting job between a steering shaft and a steering gear unit performable so easily, by making a tip part of the steering shaft connectible to the steering gear unit in a state of removing a cowl box and a dash lower. CONSTITUTION:A dash lower 2 and symmetric hood ridges 3 both are formed as divided, and in a dash lower cross 17 connecting these symmetric hood ridges, there is provided with a steering shaft supporting part 19. A steering shaft 20 is piercingly installed in this steering shaft supporting part 19 via a grommet 21, while a tip part of the steering shaft 20 is connected to a steering gear unit horizontally installed in a lower part of these symmetric hood ridges. Since this tip part of the steering shaft 20 is connectible to the steering gear unit in a state of removing the dash lower, a connecting job can be done so easily.
