PURPOSE:To prevent edge separation at a belt reinforcing layer by making the reinforcing cord of a reinforcing belt layer cross a carcass cord at right angles and providing cut positions at the specified intervals and arranging the distribution of the cut positions at randum in the circumferential direction of a tyre in a radial tyre for heavy load. CONSTITUTION:The reinforcing cord 5a of a belt reinforcing layer 5 is arranged to cross a carcass cord 3a at a right angle. And cut places 7 are formed at an interval of length by 1/6-1 times the diameter of a belt reinforcing layer 5 in the reinforcing cord 5a and the cut places 7 are dispersed at random in the circumferential direction of a tyre. By this constitution, the edge separation of the belt reinforcing layer can be prevented.
