<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer electrolyte fuel cell having high drain property capable of surely preventing accumulation of water produced by power generation operation on a gas diffusion layer. <P>SOLUTION: The polymer electrolyte fuel cell 100 is equipped with a polymer electrolyte membrane 102, a pair of catalyst layers 102a, 102b, a pair of gas diffusion layers 103a, 103b, a pair of separators 105a, 105b, and a pair of mesh sheets 108a, 108, and a hydrophilic degree H1 of the separator, a hydrophilic degree H2 of the mesh sheet, and a hydrophilic degree H3 of the gas diffusion layer have a relation of H1>H2>H3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
