A steering device attached with a reinforcing member and an attaching method of the same are provided to improve water tightness and strength around a boundary part of a pinion housing and a cylinder tube by installing the reinforcing member with a tight fit part at the pinion housing and a caulking part at the cylinder tube. In a steering device including a pinion housing(140) accommodating a pinion gear geared with a rack bar, and a cylinder tube(125) accommodating the rack bar; a steering device attached with a reinforcing member(200) further includes the reinforcing member around a boundary part of the pinion housing and the cylinder tube. The reinforcing member is formed with a tight fit part(210) inserted by the pinion housing, and a caulking part(220) of a smaller diameter than the tight fit part at the cylinder tube.
