<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharge lamp device as well as a projector capable of keeping a light-emitting discharge tube at a constant temperature, a light-emitting discharge tube, and a discharge lamp unit. <P>SOLUTION: The discharge lamp device is provided with a glass tube 10 having a light-emitting area 100 inside, a temperature sensor 40 in contact with the glass tube 10, a cooling device 60 for cooling the glass tube 10, and a control part 70 for controlling drive of the cooling device 60 based on signals from the temperature sensor 40. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
