PURPOSE:To provide an ink tank and an ink jet recorder having the tank wherein the ink tank is so constituted that the suction operation is prohibited when the ink runs out. CONSTITUTION:An ink jet recorder comprises a plurality of ink tanks 20 each having a float (a thin film float 22) that can float in an ink 11 and can close an ink supply inlet (ink introduction pipe opening section 12A) by lowering when the ink runs out (C) and a recovery means that can suck all of the tank at the same time. |
