PURPOSE:To improve the workability at the time of the coating with a primer and to enhance high temp. close adhesiveness and high temp. corrosion resistance by forming a primer layer from an epoxy resin compsn. containing two kinds of ethers having specific groups. CONSTITUTION:A polyolefin coated steel material is obtained by successively laminating an epoxy primer layer, a modified polyolefin resin layer and a polyolefin resin layer to the surface of a steel material subjected to chromate treatment. Herein, the primer layer is formed from an epoxy resin compsn. containing bisphenol type glycidyl ether having a glycidylaminomethyl group and bisphenol type glycidyl ether. As the steel material to be coated, a steel panel or pipe composed of carbon steel, alloyed steel or stainless steel is used. Substrate treatment, that is, chromate treatment is performed by the air spray or squeezing coating of a compsn. prepared by adding a fine silica powder to an aq. chromic acid soln. |
