OPTICAL CONNECTOR AND ITS MANUFACTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical connector easily at a low cost capable of constituting an in-line type filter unit using an optical fiber. SOLUTION: Using adhesives 15, an optical filter 16 is joined integrally with the connecting end face 14 of an optical connector 11, wherein a base board furnished at the surface with an optical filter layer is joined integrally with the connecting end face 14 through the adhesives 15 in such a way that the surface of the board confronts the connecting end face 14 of the optical connector 11, followed by polishing of the rear surface of the board so that embodiment in a thin piece is accomplished.
