摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the fitting structure for the stroke sensor of the cylinder which is in simple structure and can reduce variation in pressing force to the piston rod of a collar. SOLUTION: The hydraulic or pneumatic cylinder which has a magnetic scale formed at the flank part of the piston rod and the stroke sensor 35 arranged nearby the magnetic scale in the sensor hole 33 of the cylinder comprises a cylindrical spacing member 34 which is inserted into the sensor hole 33 of the cylinder 31 and has its reverse end surface brought into slide contact with the piston rod 32, the stroke sensor 35 which is inserted into the sensor hole 33 to abut against the top end surface of the spacing member 34 and also has the tip, inserted into the inner peripheral part 34a of the spacing piece 34, opposite the piston rod 32 at a specific interval and a linear groove 36 formed on the top end surface projecting from the sensor hole 33, and an elastic member 37 which engages a groove part 36 fitted surrounding the outer periphery of the cylinder 31 so that the stroke sensor 35 can not rotate.
