A novel two-phase refrigeration fluid for absorption refrigeration comprises a first phase that is an aqueous solution of lithium halide, the second phase is an aqueous solution of a fluorinated salt of lithium. The refrigeration fluid of the present invention offers high boiling temperatures and corrosion protection.
