<p>The invention concerns a method for pelletization of iron ore. Said method is characterised in that it consists in supplying pellets consisting of a mixture of iron ore and additives, forming a bed of said pellets which is displaced in an processing installation comprising a drying zone, a pre-heating zone and a heating zone supplied with counter-current circulation of hot gases and a cooling section arranged at the output of said zones; measuring in said zones or zone portions the temperature of said hot gases; comparing said measured temperatures with predetermined maximum and minimum values; and injecting oxygen, at least in some of said zones for which the measured temperature ranges between the maximum and minimum values, whereby the oxidation of the iron ore is substantially enhanced.</p> |
