PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide structures for dew condensation prevention and drain water dripping prevention in a control board of a vertical type air conditioner. SOLUTION: A refrigerating cycle composed of a compressor 1, a condenser 2, and an evaporator 4 is provided in a frame body 6, a longwise conditioning air outlet 5 is formed in a substantially center of a front panel 6a of the frame body 6, an air intake 7 is provided in one side of the front panel 6a adjacent to the conditioning air outlet 5, and the evaporator 4 and a blow fan 4a are arranged in an air passage 8 from the air intake 7 to the conditioning air outlet 5. A control board chamber 10 is provided in one side of the frame body 6 that does not have the air intake 7 and the conditioning air outlet 5, and the control board 9 is installed therein so that the control board 9 is exposed and it can be attached and detached when the front panel 6a of the frame body 6 is removed. Since a partition wall 8a formed by a heat insulation member having a predetermined thickness is provided between the control board chamber 10 and the air passage 8 reaching the conditioning air outlet 5, dew condensation of the control board chamber 10 due to inflow of cold air is eliminated.
