PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce development cost for a video information device having a network connection function and to shorten the development time for the video information device. SOLUTION: A video module unit 42 mounted on a television receiver 2100 includes a CPU 13, a plurality of hardware engines 21, 22, 23 and 24 which are each connected to the CPU through a CPU local bus and implement function different from one another, a general-purpose bus for transmitting a signal to the video information device, and a bus bridge for connecting the local bus to the general-purpose bus. One of the plurality of hardware engines is a communication engine 24 having a means for acquiring video information from a network device by communicating with the external network device through networks 46, 47 and 48.
