PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize volume reduction of a mixture of various thermoplastic waste plastics by melting and effective utilization of waste vegetable oils. SOLUTION: Melting of the mixture of various waste plastics is made possible by heating an oil in the melting pit constantly at a temperature of approximately 270°C, though the melting points of the thermoplastic plastics vary with the kinds of the resins. Two systems of heating apparatus are adopted in the plant. Direct heating by a combustion room is utilized for primary heating and waste heat of a boiler is utilized for a secondary heating. The stabilization of the temperature of the oil of the melting pit is attained by the temperature adjustment by stirring in a rotating drum and a steam pipe temperature-retaining apparatus.
