PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a collagen peptide composition that dissolves the problems that the conventional collagen has and can be used in skin cosmetics or agents without damage to the originally excellent functions of the collagen peptide and can give excellent sense of use, when it is mixed in cosmetics or medicines. SOLUTION: This is a collagen composition obtained by hydrolysis of collagen, and comprises 60 to 100 wt.% of peptides having a molecular weight of from 400 to less than 3,000, less than 25 wt.% of peptides of a molecular weight of less than 400 and less than 15 wt.% of peptides of a molecular weight of more than 3,000.
