<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system etc., which assists a specified task of, for example, opening a conference by adjusting operations of a hardware device and a software application. <P>SOLUTION: The system includes one or more computers connected via a network, at least one setting storage unit, at least one room control unit, and one or more devices and applications provided by room control units. A presenter for a conference can make environmental settings of the conference or may use the default settings. Settings of devices and applications of one or more presenters may be included so that the conference can be applied to the plurality of presenters. Settings of the conference are stored in the setting storage unit. Settings of the individual presenters include subsets of those one or more devices and applications.
