PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chair permitting easy assembly and working of members constituting a backrest, and capable of retaining the flexibility against the load of a seated person. SOLUTION: The backrest 6 is composed of a back frame 10 comprising upper, right-left and lower frame rods 10a, 10b and 10c with an opening at the center when viewed from the front; a back rod 11 extending forward and downward from the center in the right/left direction of the lower frame rod 10c of the back frame 10 and attached to a seat body 5; and a back seat body 12 closing the opening. The back frame 10 has a dogleg bending part projecting forward when viewed from a side at the center in the vertical direction of the right-left frame rod 10b, and a part above the bending part is bent rearward.
