PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a wavelength-variable light source to be compact and simplified structure. SOLUTION: A light source 10 includes: a semiconductor laser 11 serving as a light amplification means; a wavelength selecting means in which the light from the semiconductor laser 11 is made incident and the light whose wavelength corresponds to the incident position is selectively reflected; and a deflection means 13 of a relative displacement means to carry out the relative displacement of the light from the semiconductor laser 11 and the wavelength selecting means. As the wavelength selecting means, a Bragg grating 15 is used which is constituted so that the lattice spacing changes along the direction of the relative displacement. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
