PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of improving a screen ratio to an external shape of a product, in conformity with the display screens of various shapes. SOLUTION: The display device has a display area 10, arranged with a plurality of pixels 40 in a matrix form in a display area 10 in correspondence with the intersections of a plurality of scanning lines 22 and a plurality of signal lines 20, a scanning line driving circuit 14, which supplies a selection signal to each of the plurality of scanning lines 22, and a signal line drive circuit 12 which supplies a pixel signal to each of the plurality of signal lines. The display device drives the pixels, based on the pixel signals and the selection signals, and least a specific area 10b of the display area is an area, in which at least one of the plurality of scanning lines obliquely intersects with at least one of the plurality of signal lines.
