PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens barrel that can attain the smooth retreat driving of a lens frame by preventing a pin from jumping out of a cam surface, when the lens frame is driven to retreat. SOLUTION: The lens barrel 1 has a first group frame, a second group frame and a third group frame 10 as the lens frames, which are driven to advance/retreat by the rotation and advance/retreat of a rotary frame and a cam frame from a collapsing position to a photograph enabling position. However, the third group frame 10 is driven to turn from a photographic optical path insertion position to a retreat position by a retreat cam 14 via a follower pin 10c when it is driven to collapse, in such a state that it is supported by a third group straight advance frame 7. The retreat cam 14 has a cam surface 14a with which the follower pin 10c is engaged to slide, and a projecting curved surface is arranged to prevent the follower pin 10c from jumping out at the end of the cam surface 14a at the end of the cam surface, so that the jumping out of the follower pin 10c from the cam surface 14a is prevented, and smooth retreat driving of the third group frame 10 is realized.
