PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve opening/closing timing device in which a phase displacement restricting mechanism operates reliably. SOLUTION: This valve opening/closing timing control device includes: a partitioning portion 5 partitioning a fluid pressure chamber 4 formed in one of a drive rotating member 3 and a driven rotating member 1 into an advanced angle chamber 4a and a retarded angle chamber 4b; the phase displacement restricting mechanism 17 creating a restricting state where relative rotational phase displacement is restricted within a set phase displacement permissible range and an unrestricting state; a valve element chamber 21 provided midway a communication passage (r); and a valve element 22 arranged in the valve element chamber 21 and selectively positioned to a closing state for closing the communication passage (r) to render the phase displacement restricting mechanism 17 into the restricting state and an opening state for opening up the communication passageway (r) to render the phase displacement restricting mechanism 17 into the unrestricting state. The valve element 22 is provided with a leak portion 22d configured to allow leakage of fluid from a communication passage portion r1 of the communication passage (r) to the outside when the phase displacement restricting mechanism 17 is in the unrestricting state and the valve element 22 is in the closing state.
