摘要 A coupling between a first surface and a second surface is disclosed. The first surface includes a first shape and has a surface roughness average that is less than or equal to about 500 microinches (13 microns). The second surface includes a second shape and projections, in a preselected pattern, forming at least a portion of the second surface. The first shape of the first surface and the second shape of the second surface are substantially complementary. The projections are configured to produce a friction fit between the first surface and the second surface when the first and the second surfaces are biased against each other. An average elastic compressive range, substantially equal to the surface roughness average of the first surface, is associated with the projections.
