An MFP(Multi-Function Peripheral) apparatus and its printing method are provided to solve a problem that while a printing operation that takes much time is performed, a follow-up printing operation such as an urgent color printing should be in a standby state. A scanner unit(15) optically reads an original document to generate image data. A FAX unit(18) encodes encoded data transmitted from a public line to generate image data. A plurality of RIP(Raster Image Processor) units interpret or render PDL(Page Description Language) data or PDL file data to generate image data. An electronic media reading unit reads image data from a memory card. An image processing unit converts image data read by the electronic media reading unit into image data that can be printed, adjusts color, luminance or fineness of the read image data, discriminates an image from the read image data, and converts the image data to obtain a better print output. An image data filing unit(17) stores image data of a scanner image, a FAX image or a printed image. A plurality of print output units print-process a plurality of data according to the print order. A program executing unit(10) includes a storage device as an image data storage unit for storing image data. A storage unit stores data. A data input/output unit exchanges data with an external device and temporarily spools print data. A classifying unit aligns paper printed from the plurality of print output units to one of a plurality of trays.
