PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coke oven renewal method capable of decomposing a brick wall while enhancing safety of operators working in surrounding of a coke oven, and capable of improving efficiencies of decomposing operation of the brick wall and removal operation of a backstay.SOLUTION: A decomposition machine 20 is disposed on a machine side MS of a coke oven. Then, an opening part such as an oven port of a coke oven chamber opening at a coke side CS near a combustor to be subjected to renewal is closed by a protection wall PW. Then the decomposition machine decomposes a brick wall 12 of the combustor to be subjected to renewal from the machine side MS to the coke side CS. |
